Mobile Cybersecurity 101: Protecting Your Smartphone from Digital Threats

         I. Details of the Event/Activity:

On May 25, 2024, my team DevOPS organized a seminar entitled "Mobile Cybersecurity 101: Protecting Your Smartphone from Digital Threats." The seminar was held on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm in Room 521 at Gordon College. All of our participants were third-year BSIT students from Gordon College. The event was a great success, with active participation and engaging discussions throughout the session.

II. Reflections on the Webinar/Activity and Learnings:

Organizing the seminar "Mobile Cybersecurity 101: Protecting Your Smartphone from Digital Threats" on May 25, 2024, was a new experience for our DevOPS team not just because it is the first time we have so many participants but because this event was successful. As an organizer, I had the opportunity to see the planning and execution of an event that addressed a critical aspect of our digital lives cybersecurity for mobile devices. The process involved coordinating with speakers, arranging the venue, and ensuring a smooth flow of activities on the day of the seminar. Seeing everything come together and witnessing the participants' engagement was truly fulfilling.

III. Reflections on Practical Implementation:

The learnings from organizing the event to listening to the speaker about the interesting topic of Mobile Cybersecurity can be used for the future especially on handling an event, on how we can interact with the participants and also on how we can apply the learnings we learned from the speaker. Overall, the process of organizing an event and being the listening also is a big help for us to have a better and well-structured planning for future event and seminars.

IV. Positive Feedback on the Event Organization:

Me, as one of the members, I have seen how the event flows worked and it was excellent, the participants were interactive because of the interesting topics and also because of the prizes. DevOps handled this event very well and this event was successful.

V. Suggestions for Future Improvements:

I suggest that before choosing a venue for the seminars or other events we have to                consider the number of participants to avoid the lack of space during the specific event.
