The internet has come a long way since its inception. From the static web pages of the early 1990s to the dynamic, interconnected ecosystem of Web 2.0, the evolution has been remarkable. However, as technology advances and our digital needs evolve, we find ourselves on the cusp of yet another transformation – the era of Web 3.0. This reflection paper aims to delve into the concept of Web 3.0, its implications, and its potential to reshape the digital landscape.Zoom was used to host this webinar on September 28, 2023. It was organized by Department of Information and Communications Technology. The host of this event was Andrea Pilapil a Research and Writing Core Contributor - Bitskwela Freelance Web3 Marketer.

Attending the "Introduction to Web 3.0" webinar was an eye-opening experience that has broadened my understanding of the future of the internet. Web 3.0 promises to usher in a new era of decentralization, autonomy, and user-centricity. As an IT student, I am excited to be a part of this transformation and look forward to honing my skills in blockchain, smart contracts, and AI to contribute to the development of this exciting new era in technology. As an IT student eager to stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of technology of Gordon College, the insights gained in this webinar have left me excited about the potential of Web 3.0 and motivated to delve deeper into this evolving field. Some implications of Web 3.0 for an IT student like me are skill development; developing proficiency in these areas will be essential to remain relevant in the job market. Security and privacy; by understanding the importance of data security and privacy in Web 3.0 will be crucial. IT students should explore concepts like encryption, decentralized identity, and privacy-enhancing technologies. And adaptability; by cultivating a mindset of adaptability and continuous learning to stay ahead in the dynamic field of IT. IV. Positive feedback (on the event organization)
